Magnesite brick basic refractory materials with magnesite magnesite as the main crystalline phase and magnesite magnesite with magnesite content of 90% or more. Generally, it can be divided into two categories: sintered magnesia brick (also known as fired magnesia brick) and chemically combined magnesia brick (also known as unfired magnesia brick).
Performance characteristics
High refractoriness: The refractoriness of magnesia bricks can reach more than 2000℃, which makes it have excellent stability in high temperature environment.
Good slag resistance: It has strong resistance to alkaline slag and is suitable for lining and insulation layer of various high
temperature furnaces.
High load softening temperature: The load softening starting temperature of general magnesia bricks is between 1520~1600℃, and high purity magnesia bricks can reach 1800℃.
Poor thermal shock resistance: The thermal shock resistance of magnesia bricks is relatively poor, and increasing purity can appropriately improve its thermal shock resistance.
Other properties: magnesia bricks also have good corrosion resistance, thermal insulation and sound insulation.
