High Temperature Chrome Corundum Fire Refractory Checkers Brick for Glass Furnace
Chrome corundum bricks, both fused corundum and sintered corundum in use are called chrome corundum bricks. In general, corundum bricks with an aluminum content of more than 90% are called corundum bricks. Chrome corundum bricks generally refer to sintered chrome corundum bricks. In &α;-Al2O3 is used as raw material, an appropriate amount of chromium oxide powder and chrome corundum clinker powder are added, and after molding, they are fired at high temperature. The content of chromium oxide in sintered chrome corundum bricks is generally lower than that in fused chrome corundum bricks. It can also be cast by mud, α alumina powder and chromium oxide powder are mixed evenly, and part of the chrome corundum clinker is added, which is a method of forming brick grouting. Electrofused chrome zirconium corundum bricks are also called AZCS bricks, which adopt a shrinkage-free casting process. The surface and interior of the bricks are dark green. The fused brick contains 4.5% shrinkage pores and no connecting pores. Colored glass kilns can use AZCS bricks containing Cr2O3 to build pool walls, which improves the corrosion resistance of the pool walls. The main crystal phase of corundum is (al2-xcrx)O3. The amount of glass phase is similar to that of ordinary fused AZS bricks. The chemical composition of the glass phase is determined by micro-area analysis. A large amount of Cr2O3 is dissolved in the glass, and the chromium ions that form the glass structure are identified as Cr2+. That is, cr3+ is reduced to Cr2+ in the melt. This is because the melt is in a relatively reducing atmosphere. At present, the application of chrome corundum bricks has been relatively extensive, mainly used in carbon black furnaces, rolling furnace slides, and steel platforms. It has good thermal stability and high-temperature creep properties. Sintered chrome corundum bricks are widely used in glass kiln linings, flow hole cover glass bricks, glass fiber kiln kiln bodies and upwind ports, colored glass kilns in severely corroded areas, insulated glass fiber kiln walls, bottom and front furnace molten iron pretreatment equipment, water-coal slurry pressurized gasification furnaces, metallurgical molten pools and rotary kilns at the discharge ports of ceramic glaze kilns, and zinc smelting furnaces.

1 Production process 1.1 Selection of corundum In order to enhance the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of this product, fused white corundum and industrial chromium oxide fine powder are selected as the main raw materials. In order to facilitate molding, the critical particle size of corundum is selected as 5mm, and the ratio of particles to fine powder is controlled at about 55:45. 1.2 Selection of chromium oxide fine powder In order to enhance the ability of chrome corundum bricks to resist the corrosion of iron oxide at high temperatures, chromium oxide fine powder is added. Because chromium oxide has very high refractoriness and good chemical stability. Since this chrome corundum brick is used at a high temperature of about 1300℃ for a long time, it not only undergoes severe wear at high temperature, but also chemical corrosion by molten iron oxide. Properly increasing the content of chromium oxide can improve the chemical corrosion resistance of the brick body. However, experiments have shown that if the amount of chromium oxide added exceeds a certain limit, it is not conducive to the sintering of the brick. It is more appropriate to determine the amount of chromium oxide added to be 3%~5%. After the fine powder is added, it not only improves the chemical stability of the product at high temperature, but also has a favorable effect on the molding and sintering of the product. Its fineness requirement is less than 200 mesh and greater than 90%. 1.3 Selection of alumina fine powder In order to improve the molding performance of the mud material, as well as to increase the volume density and high temperature and high temperature strength of the chrome corundum brick, an appropriate amount of alumina ultrafine powder is added. Through many experiments, it is believed that the addition amount of alumina ultrafine powder is 5%~10. 1.4 Binders and additives In order to facilitate the molding of the brick body without reducing the high temperature performance of the chrome corundum brick, sulfite pulp waste liquid is selected as the binder through experiments. Because in the semi-dry molding brick material, especially in most of the lean material brick materials, adding sulfite pulp waste liquid can effectively improve the strength of the brick blank, facilitate transportation and kiln loading, and determine its ratio to be 1.07, and the addition amount is about 4%. Since the raw materials of the bricks are all lean materials, molding is more difficult, so antelope methyl cellulose is selected as a plasticizer, and its addition amount is determined to be 1.5%. Because this material has a large viscosity, it will not have a negative impact on the refractory properties of the brick. And compare the indicators of this test block with those of the cast test block. Through testing, the high-temperature flexural strength of the cast chrome corundum brick is 0.79MPa and 0.12MPa, while the high-temperature flexural strength of the machine-pressed test block is 12.23MPa, which is significantly greater than the castable test block. 2 Production process In terms of raw material selection, fused white corundum should be selected as high-quality products with dense sintering and low porosity; the particle sizes are 5~3mm, 3~1mm, and 1~0mm respectively. First, 180 mesh corundum fine powder, industrial chromium oxide fine powder, aluminum oxide fine powder and additives are mixed to prepare mixed fine powder. The mixing column equipment is a mixer with a roller, and its minimum speed is 24r/min. The order of adding materials is to add granular materials first, stir for 1~2min, then add about half of the binder, stir for about 2min, add mixed fine powder, stir for 2mi, and finally add the remaining binder. Stir for 5min and the material can be discharged. The molding is carried out on a 1000t grinding and pressing brick machine. Due to the large volume of bricks, the molding principle of light first and heavy later should be followed. When the bricks are taken out, they should be handled with care to prevent the bricks from being worn. The products are placed in a tunnel dryer for drying. The inlet temperature of the drying medium is about 120℃, and the outlet temperature is about 50~60℃. The residual moisture after drying is controlled to be less than 1%. The dried bricks are placed in a tunnel kiln for firing. The loading position is the middle and lower part of the kiln car. The maximum firing temperature is 1500℃, and the heat preservation is 4h. After firing, the bricks are dark brown. The main technical indicators of chrome corundum bricks. The chrome corundum bricks developed and produced were used on site on the heating furnace of Jigang Small Rolling Mill. The use position is the most demanding position on the push steel platform with the most demanding temperature and wear, and the performance is compared with the chrome corundum bricks produced by a certain factory (same material, produced by casting molding). Through more than one year of use and observation, the surface erosion of this brick is significantly less than that of the comparison brick, which proves that this brick has excellent wear resistance and strong resistance to iron oxide erosion, and can meet the use requirements of the heating furnace push steel part.
