There are mixed grade alumina hollow ball and graded ball two types: mixed-level ball diameter is 0.2-5mm, graded ball diameters can be respectively 0.2-1mm, 1-2mm, 2-3mm, 3-5mm. Application: Alumina hollow balls are widely used in high temperature furnace and ultra high temperature furnaces such as the petrochemical industry gasifier reactor, carbon black industry, metallurgical industry and other high-temperature induction furnaces, etc.
Ceramic Alumina Hollow Ball is a new kind of heat insulation material, it is used in the eaf melting in industrial aluminum and blowing, crystal - for Al2O3 nanocrystal. In alumina bubble can be made for the subject, the use of various shapes, the highest temperature 1800C, the products of high mechanical strength, for general light products, and the number of times the volume density is only one half of corundum products. Therefore, in the gasifier, petrochemical industry, metallurgy industry, carbon industry reactor furnace temperature, such hi-temp extensively, made satisfactory effect in energy saving.
Alumina hollow ball is the hollow spherical light insulating refractory made from alumina blown out of electric arc furnace through high temperature melting procedure.
Alumina hollow balls have the advantages of high strength, high stabilities to chemical and thermal circumstances.It can be resistant to acid, alkali, salt and all organic solvents.

The hollow alumina ball preparing process features using industrially produced aluminum powder as initial material and basing on wet chemical process. The preparation process forms hollow alumina ball in two stages, including the first stage of forming composite particle with AlOOH.nH2O coated Al and the second stage of calcining the composite particle at 1000-1100 deg.
Under optimized condition, hollow alumina ball of diameter 0.1-50 micons and wall thickness 100-300 nm may be produced. Compared with available technology, the present invention has the features of controllable size of hollow alumina ball, homogeneous wall thickness, high yield, simple process, low cost and being suitable for industrial production
